How Boys Play

I took the boys to the park earlier this week and it never fails when ever we go, one if not both of them "shoot" squirrels. This day it was Asher on the hunt. As you can see he did get pretty close.
I love being the mother of two boys but they do me laugh. I have gun shooting, bear fighting, knife wielding hunter boys-we have so many sticks aka guns on our front porch from walks and parks you can hardly walk on the porch without hitting one. But they are treasures and prized guns we can not throw away. I love having boys

A new man

Before-long and in his eyes

And after, a brand new kid!

Asher got a big cut tonight his hair has been down in his eyes for a while. I was joking with Joe telling him I could put a clip in his hair or pig tails, it really was that long. Joe cut two inches off his hair. He looks like a whole new little boy, it's crazy! I am going to have to get used to his new "army" hair cut.

When mommy is away

This is what happens when mommy is distracted by the computer.
I was checking email this morning and didn't notice that Asher had gone down stairs by himself. When I came down about 5 minutes later I was very surprised to see butter smeared all over my table, chair and floor. Needless to say I was not happy with him or myself. So now, mommy needs to use the computer at night and nap time to avoid any future adventures.

Ummm Corn

We had sweet corn this week for dinner and Asher especially enjoyed it. He stayed in his chair gnawing away long after we had all left the table and cleaned up.
On a sadder note for me he started walking all by himself today-I can't believe how big he is. It goes by so fast.
